Do Arabs experience freedom by leaving Islam

The word freedom has been used in many aspects of events within history and in some countries governments have oppress individuals and still believe that there is democracy for example looking at the nation of Saudi Arabia which is an Islamic state believe that Churches shouldn’t be built in Saudi Arabia but funding for more mosques in the western world should be implemented. In Morocco when the Village of Hope workers who taught orphans education but also Christianity and other religious movement, were deported from the country and then later blacklisted from the nation.

Freedom and democracy has been abused in these nations by taking away the freedom to believe in what you want to believe through a religious aspect, why do they keep this style of thought to be established in their nations? The purpose of it is control but also keeping with the Quranic text of not going aside other than Islam, according to Surah 4:89:-

“They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them”

This is one example where people in the Arab world fear for, rejection and being killed, from a moral aspect this should not be the case how people should live, this is not freedom of anything because for people who practise their religion it is practise in their life in everything they do, but people change the way they look at God which I do not disagree with because all humanity has the right to see God from his point of view.

Travelling to the nations of North Africa and the Middle I have learnt that people in those nations live under fear of even thinking of doubting Islam but fear the sake of committing apostasy and then later believe they will get killed. Faith is the fact of believing in God in your walk with God and not letting anyone impose his/hers religion or point of view on you, faith is also the intervention of God reaching out to humanity by connecting to humanity. Christian theology teaches that God came into the world through the Son and dwelt among us so that through Him we will have and experience the true freedom of sin taking control on our lives. According to the Bible in John 8:31-32 it says:

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Freedom from sin gives us the liberty to be with God forever but this freedom will cost and it costs everything even our lives, J.C Ryle put it simply by saying:

Religion that costs nothing is worth nothing.

You are right!  And if we know the truth, we are not afraid of
what is not true.  In fact we are happy to discuss it with the muslim.
Perhaps he will see the light too!   This oppression of Jihad only shows
    their fear of the truth.

Currently on earth there is no Islamic state, including Saudi Arabia. They are no more an Islamic state than the US is a Christian one. They use the religion as an excuse to do whatever they want, just as many others have used Christianity to do whatever they want.

You quote the Quran a sura that you have mis-interpreted. It means only that you should not be dealing with people who do harm or turn against your faith. In Islam, a good practicing Christian is considered one of the believers. Those against who we are to make Jihad is merely those who would destroy us, given the chance. And Jihad was never meant as a means of War, but a means of defense. The fact that people living in war-torn countries use a religion as a means of defending actions which have nothing to do with the religion itself does not mean that the religion is wrong, but that the people are misguided, and desperate. When religion becomes propaganda it ceases to be religion.

What is more, you quote a passage of the bible that is very vague. Jesus taught the same things as Muhammad. They were both prophets of God, and never did Jesus claim to be His son. The message he gave would have been the same as Muhammad, for both teachings would have come from God. Mark 12:29;Luke 4:8;Mark 10:18;Luke 24:19;John 20:17; all allude to the fact that Jesus stated many times to worship God alone, that He was One and not three, and that He only was all-powerful and worthy of worship. All teachings that Islam believes. Truly, Jesus was a prophet of God, and is loved by all Muslims.

Also, here is a better, clearer translation of the ayat mentioned, as well as the next ayat for context.

They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;-

Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).
