Egypt is going through a time whereby the population has voted an Islamic leader and demanding that Sharia Law to be established in the constitution on Egypt. This will affect religious freedom for Christians as from a logical will be excluded in making this choice because of their Christian ethics in what they believe in.

Pope Tawadros II who has become the new Pope of Egypt said that the Muslim Brotherhood should not ignore the Christians. According to Reuters the Pope Tawadros II said:

“The beauty of Egyptian society is the presence of Muslims beside Christians. Diversity is strong and beautiful.” “If a good constitution is presented in which every person finds himself [represented], there is no doubt Egypt will develop,” the pope said. “But if the constitution addresses one part of the community and ignores another it will take society backwards.”

The Coptic Christians has begun to enter a time of the dark ages whereby Christians are losing their rights within the country of getting the freedom to practise their faith. As the rise of the Islamic regime continues in Egypt, Christianity from my prospectus will continue to grow even in this time of persecution.
